An AI beard remover edits the lower face of a portrait to take facial hair away. It detects the beard, mustache, goatee, and stubble, then rebuilds the jawline, chin, upper lip, and skin tone that the hair was covering. It invents the part of the face that was never visible, so the result is a realistic preview, not a record of a real shave.
The brief asks the model to keep identity, face shape, bone structure, nose, eyes, eyebrows, hair on the head, hairline, ears, apparent age, skin tone, freckles and moles, glasses, accessories, expression, pose, crop, clothing, background, and lighting. It also tells the model not to beautify, slim, feminize, or whiten the face.
Four presets, each written as a removal task: clean shaven (everything gone), light stubble (hair taken down to a faint five o'clock shadow), keep mustache (beard removed, mustache kept), and remove mustache (mustache and goatee gone, beard kept).
One person per photo, and still images only, not video. It cannot add a beard, and it is not a medical or dermatology tool. Side profiles, covered chins, and very small faces give weaker jawlines, so upload a clear, front-facing portrait.
Before and after
Each pair uses a fictional, AI-generated source portrait, so no real person's likeness was edited. The after image comes from this tool's production model and fixed brief at 1K, with no retouching. Look at the jawline, chin, and skin texture to judge how well the lower face held.
A studio headshot with a thick full beard gets the clean shaven preset for a job application or a fresh profile photo. The eyebrows, hairline, glasses, and gray backdrop stay in place, and the chin is rebuilt rather than blurred. Check the jaw edge against the original, since a very thick beard hides the most structure.
A casual selfie with heavy dark stubble gets the light stubble preset, which takes the hair down to an even five o'clock shadow instead of fully smooth skin. The lighting, skin tone, and hoodie stay the same. This is the safest option when a completely bare face would look unlike the person.
A candid outdoor portrait gets the keep mustache preset for an old-photo gag or a style test. The cheeks, jaw, and chin are cleared while the mustache keeps its exact shape and color. Compare the mustache with the original to be sure it was not reshaped.

How to
Start with a sharp, well-lit, front-facing photo of one person with the whole lower face visible. The more of the jaw and chin the camera saw, the better the rebuilt jawline will be.

Clean shaven is the default. Light stubble leaves a shadow, keep mustache saves the mustache, and remove mustache saves the beard. The preset sets the brief on our server, so the browser cannot rewrite it.
Sign in and confirm the fixed cost of 25 credits. One result is usually ready in about one to two minutes, at 1K and the same aspect ratio as your photo. If a run fails, the credits are returned.

Honest limits
No beard remover invents the true face under the hair, and some photos make the guess harder. These are the inputs that failed or drifted most in our testing, and what to do instead.
With two people in the frame, the edit was weak and uneven. The brief targets only the largest, most central face, so crop to one person first.
If the camera never saw the jaw or chin, the model has to invent it. Use a front or slight three-quarter angle, and avoid scarves, hands, or mics over the lower face.
A very long or bushy beard covers the most structure, so the rebuilt jawline is a guess. Choose light stubble rather than a full clean shave, and check the result carefully.
When the face covers only a small part of a large scene, skin texture and the jaw edge lose detail. Crop closer, or sharpen the photo first.
The model cannot know about a scar, mole, or dimple that the hair was hiding. If a real feature must be visible, name it in a general AI editor instead.
Passports, visas, and ID photos usually forbid altering the face. Use a real, unedited photo for any document, even if the beard is out of date.
Compare your options
There are several ways to take a beard off a photo. The right one depends on how much of the face the hair covers, how real the result must look, and how much time you have. These are general types of tools, so there are no links to other brands.

The AI beard remover makes a new image from your photo and a fixed brief on our server. It is an interpretation of how the person might look without facial hair, not a photograph of a real shave. The jawline, chin, skin texture, and lip shape can change, especially with a thick beard and the clean shaven preset.
Keep the original file. If the lower face no longer looks like the person, delete the result and try light stubble, a clearer front-facing photo, or a smaller beard. Never use a beard-removed photo on passports, ID cards, visa photos, legal evidence, or news photos, where an edited face can break rules or mislead people.
Only upload photos of yourself or of people who have agreed to the edit, and never use results to deceive, harass, or impersonate someone. Signed-in tasks and results can appear in My Creations so a task can be recovered after a connection problem instead of being paid for twice.
The current storage backend has no automatic expiry for uploaded or generated image objects. Delete in My Creations soft-deletes the task record from account history; it does not delete the underlying image object or provider copy. Review the Privacy Policy before uploading a portrait.
