What is an AI video editor?
An AI video editor changes existing footage using instructions in ordinary language. This tool takes your uploaded short clip and applies a visual edit, such as changing a product color or replacing its background. This is a generative workflow: the output can reconstruct parts of the scene rather than change only selected pixels.
Can I edit videos online without a timeline?
Yes. Upload your clip, describe one visual change, and review the result. You do not need to draw a mask or arrange timeline tracks here. For cutting multiple scenes, exact frame trimming, transitions, captions or audio mixing, use a timeline editor before or after this step.
Is this a free AI video editor?
You can watch the AI-generated concept examples without signing in. Processing your own video requires an account and enough Banana Pro AI credits. An edit costs 50 credits per started second of source footage: 3 seconds costs 150 credits; 6.58 seconds costs 350. Check the displayed total before submitting.
Which videos can I upload?
Use an MP4 or MOV lasting 2–10 seconds, no larger than 20 MB. Each dimension must be between 720 and 1,920 pixels. Supported shapes are 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3 and 3:4. Export a short, standard-ratio segment from a longer project before uploading it.
Will the original motion, timing and audio stay the same?
The editor uses your source clip, requests its full duration and original audio, and requests its supported aspect ratio. Output duration, dimensions, frame rate, details and motion can change. The displayed concepts have different lengths and are not evidence of full-clip preservation. Check the entire result and audio before publishing; frame-perfect or sample-perfect preservation is not guaranteed.
What happens if an edit fails or I close the page?
Credits are reserved when an edit is submitted. A confirmed failed edit returns those credits. If submission cannot be confirmed within 30 minutes, credits are also returned; a later verified successful result can still appear in My Creations without another charge. Processing can continue after you leave; return with the same account to recover the active task, or check My Creations. If a connection drops, retry the same request instead of creating another paid edit.
